“This is a small attempt to fill the gap at third level for people in Ireland with intellectual disabilities”
– Dr Anthony Walsh, Founder
The idea for Blue Diamond Drama Academy began with Dr Anthony Walsh and his wife Susan. Having witnessed first-hand the lack of facilities for adults with a talent and passion for drama, they decided to investigate the possibility of providing a place where adults with intellectual disabilities could come together to learn and grow through the medium of performing arts.
